Kitchen Warehouse

Project Overview

For Kitchen Warehouse, a well-established retailer offering a broad range of cookware and kitchen accessories to both home users and cooking enthusiasts, the store environment typically prioritises high product density while maintaining navigable clarity. In this type of kitchenware retail, common challenges include managing diverse SKU categories within limited floor space, maintaining clear display logic across varying product sizes, and ensuring durability in fixtures exposed to frequent handling and restocking. The project therefore began with design engineering to rationalise display logic and introduce a modular structure capable of supporting flexible merchandising across multiple product categories, while improving traffic flow and overall space utilisation. Shop drawings development translated these strategies into detailed fabrication frameworks, ensuring that storage systems and display units aligned structurally and visually. During prototyping and sample development, iterative adjustments were made to refine joinery details and material selection, supported by value engineering to balance cost efficiency with durability and material consistency. Through controlled shopfitting manufacturing and rigorous QC and inspection processes, the fixtures achieved consistent performance across different store conditions. With rollout support, the system was further adapted to suit varying site constraints, resulting in improved operational efficiency, clearer merchandising behaviour, and a retail environment that supports both scalability and long-term durability.
